Project Title: Empathy & Compassion in Residential Real Estate

My role: Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer from concept to completion and final delivery

Executive Summary: This project addressed Sotheby’s Atlanta Fine Homes’ need to decrease new residential real estate agent turnover and to support agents in developing stronger relationships with their clients. 

Challenge:  87% of new residential real estate agents fail and leave the business within the first 2 years.  Sotheby's Atlanta Fine Homes cites the pressure and work of dealing with stressed-out clients as a contributing factor to this statistic. There existed a need to better support agents in handling the emotional needs of clients, and to equip agents with strategies for utilizing empathy and compassion with clients.

Solution: To address these challenges, I researched and gathered course information from Subject Matter Experts and contributers in the field. To engage the on-the-go agent, I developed an interactive elearning course using Canva, Lectora, Vyond and Microsoft Sound Recorder. I included interactivity, scenario practice, and visual support to keep learners engaged and support the information retention. The course presents 7 key strategies or skills for practicing empathy and compassion, models of each skill in practice, and formative and summative assessments for agents to demonstrate each skill.  

Projected Results: Atlanta Fine Homes is investing in its agents' success by empowering them with strategies for utilizing empathy and compassion, ultimately leading to decreased new agent turnover and stronger client relationships.

Executive Summary: To simplify family relocations, I created a concise eLearning course: 10 Tips for Moving with Children. This course offers practical advice and strategies to help parents and caregivers navigate the challenges of moving with kids, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition.
